Welcome to the Weston Music Center

Welcome to our 2015 - 2016 year.

The Weston Music Center and School of the Performing Arts, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1950 by Constance and Franklin Coates. Since its founding, a skilled and caring faculty has fostered a lifelong love of music in hundreds of students of all ages, some of whom have gone on to professional careers in music.

Both children and adults from beginning to advanced levels are taught by teachers who are distinguished both for their positions on university faculties and for their activities in the professional world of music. The school is continuing its tradition of providing first-rate instruction in music, offering opportunities to perform with other musicians in chamber music and other groups and encouraging a love of music to last a lifetime.

For the majority of students instruction is provided in the form of weekly private lessons. There are two semesters, each fifteen weeks in duration. The first semester begins in September and ends in January; the second begins in February and ends in June. Summer lessons are possible subject to demand and teacher availability. Lessons are offered at two teaching locations, Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Weston, CT, and the Gilbert & Bennett Community Cultural Center in Wilton, CT.

We are happy to talk with you about our school and faculty and can be reached at 203.227.1425. We look forward to hearing from you.
